Linking items

You can link any two items: a todo, a journal entry, an article in the Brain Bank, a project or a pillar. A link shows on both items, under Linked to. For example, link a journal entry to the project it’s about, and it shows on the project too.

  1. Open one of the items.
  2. Under Linked to, select Link….
  3. Type part of the other item’s title in Find something to link.
  4. Press Enter, or select Find.
  5. Select it in the list, such as “Project: Kitchen renovation”.

You see “Linked.” It’s listed under Linked to on both items. Linking two items that are already linked changes nothing.

  1. Under Linked to, select Remove beside the link.

You see “Removed.” Neither item is deleted.

When you delete an item, its links go with it.

Who can do this

Every member of the space. An AI you’ve connected can link items too, if you let it reach links. See Connect an AI.

If something goes wrong

  • “Nothing matches.” Try fewer or different words from the title.
  • “That didn’t work. Please try again.” Check your connection, then try again.
